● TALENT ONE MARKET INTELLIGENCE: ATOM COMPUTING

🔥 TALENT LIQUIDITY:
Extremely tight. The intersection of quantum physics and high-precision lens design is a niche with fewer than 500 qualified practitioners globally.

📈 ALPHA SIGNAL:
Quantum hardware is the new ‘Space Race.’ Securing a role here grants you early-stage equity in a company building the fundamental compute layer of the future, effectively insulating your mortgage from standard SaaS market volatility.

CANDIDATE PROTOCOL: Focus your portfolio on custom lens design for non-standard wavelengths and high-NA systems. If you have experience with cryogenic-compatible optical mounts, lead with that.

Official Role Description: Atom Computing

At Atom Computing, we build quantum computers using arrays of optically trapped neutral atoms that will empower customers to achieve unprecedented computational breakthroughs. Join a world-class team of scientists, engineers, and business professionals to advance the state-of-the-art in quantum computing.

Atom Computing is seeking an Optical Engineer specializing in Lens Design to create custom, high-performance optical systems from the ground up. In this role, you will own the complete optical design lifecycle—from initial concept and ray-tracing to tolerancing, finalizing optical prescriptions, and working directly with fabrication vendors to bring custom lenses for our quantum computer to life.
