Talent One is recruiting a Hazardous Materials Emergency Planning & Regulatory Compliance Specialist for Patriot Emergency Preparedness Solutions. Engagements may support municipal, county, state, education, healthcare, private-sector, or other organizations. Travel for site visits may be required. Compensation: $95,000 – $140,000.

Hazmat planning and regulatory compliance specialist for facilities subject to EPCRA, Tier II, and related reporting. Requires hands-on regulatory and operational experience, not classroom familiarity alone.

The Mandate

  • Develop and update hazardous chemical inventories for EPCRA Sections 311/312 and Tier II reporting.
  • Review Safety Data Sheets, quantities, storage locations, thresholds, hazards, and reporting implications.
  • Prepare state and local Tier II workflows and facility submissions.
  • Develop or update facility hazmat ERPs and release-notification procedures.
  • Coordinate with EHS, fire departments, LEPCs, and authorities having jurisdiction.

What You Must Bring

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years hands-on in hazardous-materials compliance, fire prevention, EHS, hazmat emergency planning, or industrial safety.
  • Knowledge: Demonstrated EPCRA 311/312 and Tier II reporting. Classroom-only familiarity is not sufficient.
  • Preferred: CEM or AEM; HAZWOPER; CFPS or comparable hazmat credential.
  • Workplace: AL, OH, SC, VA, NC, FL, and TX. Site visits to review chemical storage and emergency planning information as required.
