In this role, you will lead end-to-end design of AI-first product experiences, translating complex data and intelligent systems into intuitive, trustworthy, and actionable interfaces. You will work closely with cross-functional partners to bring new, human-centered experiences to life, ensuring WHOOP remains at the forefront of innovation in health and performance.RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead design projects from research and problem framing through to UX flows, prototypes, and polished experiencesTranslate complex AI-driven insights into clear, approachable, and trustworthy interfaces.Conduct user research and usability testing to uncover member needs and validate design decisionsCreate information architectures, workflows, and interaction patterns that balance intuitiveness with technical sophisticationPrototype in Figma (high proficiency required), while also leveraging no-code/low-code tools (e.g., Cursor, Lovable, Replit) to explore real interactionsCollaborate with PMs, engineers, and data scientists to define opportunities and deliver production-ready solutionsActively use AI in your design workflow (for ideation, prototyping, content generation, and synthesis)Advocate for inclusive, ethical, and transparent AI design, ensuring accessibility and fairness are at the core of member experiencesQUALIFICATIONS:5+ years of experience in product design, with a strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end ownership of shipped workProven experience designing consumer-facing digital products, particularly mobile experiencesDeep expertise in UX, interaction design, and product thinking, with the ability to structure ambiguous problems into clear solutionsHigh proficiency in design tools such as Figma, with strong skills in wireframing, prototyping, and workflow designStrong visual design skills, with attention to detail and a high bar for craft and polishExperience collaborating cross-functionally with product, engineering, and research teams to deliver impactful product outcomesFamiliarity with AI/ML-driven products and an understanding of key UX challenges such as trust, explainability, and transparencyExperience designing for emerging technologies (e.g., AI-first products, wearables, voice interfaces) is a plusExcellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate design decisions and influence stakeholdersPassion for health, fitness, and helping people better understand and improve their performanceStrong commitment to embracing and leveraging AI tools in day-to-day tasks, ensuring AI-assisted work aligns with the same high-quality standards as personal contributions.This role is based in the WHOOP office located in Boston, MA. The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $155,000-$215,000. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within each range, individual pay is based on factors such as job-related skills, experience, performance, and relevant education or training. In addition to the base salary, the successful candidate will also receive benefits and a generous equity package. These ranges may be modified in the future to reflect evolving market conditions and organizational needs. While most offers will typically fall toward the starting point of the range, total compensation will depend on the candidate’s specific qualifications, expertise, and alignment with the role’s requirements.
