The Core team focuses on foundational member experiences such as sleep, strain, recovery, and fitness, as well as adjacent opportunities that deepen members’ understanding of their health and performance.This is a senior individual contributor role focused on driving end-to-end design strategy and execution, shaping product direction, and elevating the quality of experiences across systems, including AI-powered capabilities.RESPONSIBILITIES: Own and drive design work across a product area or set of initiatives, leading projects from problem framing through execution and deliveryApply strong UX judgment to complex problem spaces, structuring ambiguity and making clear, principled decisions about flows, tradeoffs, and overall experienceTranslate complex systems, including AI-driven capabilities, into scalable interaction patterns, workflows, and intuitive user experiencesPartner closely with product managers, engineers, researchers, and data scientists to deliver high-impact projects from concept through launchWork across teams and stakeholders to clearly communicate, advocate for, and align on design decisions and directionContribute directly to design execution, with a focus on interaction design and overall experience quality, while maintaining a high bar for visual polishProvide structured, actionable feedback through critiques and day-to-day collaboration, and transition into managing and mentoring designers over timeQUALIFICATIONS:7+ years of experience in product design, with a strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end ownership of shipped workDeep expertise in UX and interaction design, with experience simplifying complex systems into clear, intuitive experiencesStrong product thinking and decision-making skills, with the ability to evaluate tradeoffs and connect design work to user and business impactExperience collaborating cross-functionally with product, engineering, and research to deliver impactful product outcomesExcellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive alignmentExperience mentoring or supporting the growth of other designers through feedback, critique, or formal leadershipExperience designing for data-rich or AI-driven products is preferredPassion for health, fitness, or helping people better understand and improve their bodiesStrong commitment to embracing and leveraging AI tools in day-to-day tasks, ensuring AI-assisted work aligns with the same high-quality standards as personal contributions.This role is based in the WHOOP office located in Boston, MA. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within each range, individual pay is based on factors such as job-related skills, experience, performance, and relevant education or training.  In addition to the base salary, the successful candidate will also receive benefits and a generous equity package. These ranges may be modified in the future to reflect evolving market conditions and organizational needs.
